Donate life to other

It seems that this topic has been discussed many times before, but in reality organs donation which touches each one of us still an idea that we talk and agree about without taking any remarkable action.

Do you know how many patients are listed on the waiting list of organ transplants?

What would you feel if one of your loved people is one of those? Will you wait watching him dying?

Saying yes I am with organs donation will never help people survive, why we should be afraid about religious opinions? A question comes to my mind frequently blood plaque are not human cells! So why we are allowing this donation and preventing kidney or heart valve donation?

Now there is a market for body parts!

 

This happens because there are some people gain money and patient want to have treatment to survive so we have to reach humanity by doing donation voluntarily.

Why we will accept that religions opinion that donation is unethical? Watching people dying is more ethical?!

 

        

Users of books increase year after year

Yesterday, I visited the book fair which was hold in the university this week; I was shocked that the number of visitors did not exceed the 10 students which is a very low number according to the number of students present in the university. Also I spoke with the sale’s man, they said that the sale decline about 10% year after year. This event illustrate that books for students become forgotten and have no value and it has dominated by the internet.

Plato said: A library of wisdom is more than all wealth, and all things that are desirable cannot be compared to it.  Whoever, therefore claims to be zealous of truth, of happiness, of wisdom, of knowledge must become a lover of books.

A recent study published in the research in social stratification and mobility journal highlights the importance of books. According to the study, there is a direct correlation between how many books are in the home and how many years of education a child will complete. Reading books enables the mind to think over the objects of interest which enable a person in making informed decisions. It is food for the soul. The more you read the more you know.  The content of books is more credible and valid then the information published in the internet

Also books are inexpensive and readily available nearly every where it can be your friend when you are alone. The habit of reading good contents book’s daily will act like an exercise for your mind and keep you mentally fit and flexible .If you have never given it a try, then always remember that it’s never too late to start a good  habit.

Volunteering in Lebanon

In this year, a new change happened to the lebanese curriculum . It is the introducing of volunteering as mandatory. Students should do about 60 hours in volunteering during the 3 years in the hight school , in order to get their official certificate. Inspite of the fact that volunteering is a personal choice , nowadays, it is a requirement to graduate from school. Many peopole are against it strongly. However in my opinion, mandatory volunteering is still a good idea.
Firstly, students should study not only about knowledge but also morality or social behavior. Students of today have good taking skills but extremly poor giving skills. Volunteering is an opportunity of them to explore their life and see the word within different set of eyes . They can see the life of poor peopole and compare it with their life, they can feel how their parents do and work in order to ensure the better life for them. Volunteering would open their eyes to read the world, it would help them make better choice, even reducing gang violence, school shootings and drug addiction.

Secondly, mandatory volunteering can change the students taughts and personality. It increase self  confidence and help students to have strongue personality . It learns students how to deal with social problems. Also it help students to know how to communicate with peopole from different background and culture .

In the awake of the above quote I am very convinced that our road is not always full of rose. Therefore in our life we must face problem in order to understand and give our life a taste and meaning.

Moreover, that god gives us this charity to feel the glory of this creation as well as the importance of how we become on what we are planning to be.

On fact overcoming problem that might face us is by giving ourselves the time for both passion and thinking to achieve our goal.

Choosing the major in the university

All of us think about his\her major in the university but the majorities are not guided. If I begin from my experience, I think that teachers in high school did not guide me to choose the correct one, and also I were not conscious enough to think that it is the main step in our life but I choose a major following some criteria such as the distance from the university to my home , forgetting the accordance between the major and what I like to do or to study, whether it is practical in Lebanon or not , can I find a job  .Choosing a major for the university is hard work and it is essential to be right and suitable. Because if you study a major that it is not what you like or what your abilities, potentials and capabilities, later on in the labor market you will fail. To avoid such result, Ministry of education should put a clear regulation about choosing the major in the university level. All university should follow entrance exams for their students, each one in her\his correct major, and also don’t take the result of official exams the only indicator about student performance because it is not fair to assess students based on one exam, but also university should take in consideration student’s performance during the year.  Also, teachers in high school should play the major role in guiding student by  establishing  educational and awareness sessions about universities in Lebanon, all the major and the description of each one. Choosing the major in the university level is an essential part of high school student’s life’s , it should be guided and directed by all the educational agencies .
