My philosophy of education

I believe that education play a big role in the society. It begins from the birth, children are affected by their parents, and they imitate what their parents do? How they eat? How they talk? The language that they speak. I believe that knowledge of social condition is necessary in order properly to interpret the child's powers.…. Then go the role of the society, children are affected by their friend and their behaviors.

 But the agency that takes the second role after parents is the school. As a future ‘teacher I believe that every child has the ability to learn, but it takes a good teacher to be able to bring this ability out. This is a role I would like to take.   I believe the purposes of education are necessary for the child to live a successful life.   In my opinion, the school's goals should begin with providing students the necessary knowledge and experiences to help contribute to our society. And it will be a very important goal for me   to help my students succeed any where they   go, not only pass exams and get high grades. What is the role of the teacher is something that I learn now during my teaching diploma but also inside me I have an idea from my teachers and I inspire from them for me some are good others are bad .

Curriculum should be useful and contain relevant information, free of irrelevant information and should involve technology.  Also it should be revised from time to time because as we see the Lebanese curriculum now contain a lot of mistakes and information that become today old and should be replaced with others. Also it should focus in practices and experiences more than theories and concepts because without practices we cannot reflect to our daily life what we have been learn and also we are not motivated to learn and this is the role of state to revise the curriculum and decide to make variation. Many children learn by doing, so the child has a better understanding of what is being taught. Another way that children may learn best is working in a small group with other children. The task can be done faster and more thought out and there is less stress on the child. By working in a small group, the children can come up with different ideas and strategies on how to solve a problem. This benefits the child because he learns to help others, as well as having others help him.

Everything taught in school will someday benefit the child whether he holds a job in that field, or has to figure out a real life problem that can be solved by using what he learned in school. I believe that children learn best when they are taught under certain conditions and in certain ways. Some of these are having children experiment with examples of the topic being taught.

Education is a mission that has more than one doer. Parents, society, schools and state should work together to have a good education.
